The Maple River Syrup Company was founded in 2014 and is owned and operated by the Parcell Family of Canton, NY.  Maple River is located along the scenic Grasse River in Canton and includes two locations where the family began making maple syrup many years ago on land that has been in their family for decades.  As a hobby they enjoyed tapping trees and collecting sap in old galvanized buckets.  The sap was boiled down in a small wood fired, single pan evaporator and the finished syrup stored in mason jars to then be enjoyed by family and friends throughout the year.
